In the basin

The park’s plant notes put Muller’s oak with California juniper and pinyon above about 4,000 feet in the Little San Bernardino Mountains. Around the basin you meet it on those cooler slopes, not on the Highway 62 creosote flats. Wikipedia and Calflora have the oak’s range and names.
