Terms of use
Last updated October 12, 2026. Short rules for using Mojave Coyotes.
What this site is
Mojave Coyotes is an independent High Desert information desk. We compile public civic notices, hyperlocal reporting, field monitors, and a cited basin wiki for the Morongo Basin and nearby Mojave towns. We are not a government agency, newsroom of record, or emergency service.
Not official advice
Nothing on this site is legal, medical, safety, or emergency advice. Evacuations, road closures, park orders, school decisions, and similar matters come only from the responsible agency. Always follow linked official sources when they conflict with our summaries.
Third-party content
Headlines, agendas, alerts, and other items may be summarized from third parties. Those parties keep their rights. We link out so you can read the original. Do not treat our cards as a substitute for the source document, broadcast, or agency page.
Wiki entries
Wiki pages are editorial starting points with citations. Confidence labels and review dates matter—draft material may be incomplete. We do not invent Indigenous cultural content; where presence or history is discussed, treat tribal and primary sources as authoritative.
Acceptable use
Use the site for personal, community, and non-abusive purposes. Do not scrape in ways that harm the service, attempt to break security, misrepresent yourself as Mojave Coyotes, or republish our compiled desk as if it were official government output.
Availability
The desk may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Feeds can lag. We may change, pause, or stop features without notice. The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of accuracy or uninterrupted access, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Mojave Coyotes and its operators are not liable for decisions you make based on this site—including travel, outdoor activity, civic participation, or emergency response—or for outages, omitted items, or third-party content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in San Bernardino County, California, are the venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
