Integratron
George Van Tassel’s dome near Landers. He said the purpose was given to him. Today it is a booked sound-bath site on a rural road.
The building now
The Integratron stands in the Landers and Homestead Valley area, a few miles from Giant Rock. It is the wooden dome associated with George Van Tassel. The operating website, integratron.com, is the source for current use: acoustic sessions visitors reserve. A building you can see, and a reservation you can confirm, are the present-tense facts.
The claim, labeled as a claim
Van Tassel wrote that extraterrestrials instructed him to build a machine for rejuvenation, drawing on ideas he linked to Nikola Tesla. Those are his claims. Reporting them as part of local history is fair. Presenting them as a demonstrated physical effect is not. Read them on the Integratron’s own site and in the county’s Giant Rock note, in the tellers’ framing.
Getting there
The approach is rural roads north of Yucca Valley, with limited cell service and no services at the door. Summer heat and winter wind both apply. Check the site before you go, because a dome on a homestead map is not a public park. The lots you pass are people’s homes. Stay on the route you were given.
Two layers, one address
A sound bath is a commercial visit. The mid-century gathering culture around Van Tassel is a historical subject. They share a building. They do not confirm each other. If you are writing about the place, say which layer you mean. Confidence is medium on purpose: the operations are checkable, and the origin story is not something this desk can settle.
